Featuring a clean industrial design that is lightweight and promotes passive cooling, the Lightstar 150-Watt Tungsten Fresnel Light is a small yet powerful lighting instrument. It incorporates a 1.9″ temperature-resistant Fresnel lens that throws a hard tungsten-balanced light, and it features an 11° to 55° spot/flood adjustment. The worm-drive focusing mechanism employed by the fixture is reliable and well established.
The aluminum housing minimizes the weight of the fixture, while helping to dissipate heat. Access to the inside of the light for bulb changes is via a thumbscrew on the back of the fixture that allows the top of the chassis to slide forward revealing the internal bulb socket, reflector, and focusing mechanism. A 90° baby-pin receiver allows you to mount the fixture on top of a stand, or you can alternately insert a C-stand arm or similar through the receiver. The yoke features a cord wrap post and cord for coiling the power cord on the yoke, and the fixture includes a 4-leaf barndoor setup that you can rotate to set your light spill control.
